The Ultimate Lounge Chair For Cord Cutters

It’s been a little over a year since I decided I wanted an Eames lounge chair.

After coming to grips with the fact that I could not justify spending upwards of $3k for a chair, I finally decided and pulled the trigger on an Eames reproduction from UrbanFurnishing.net.

I researched and posted several posts over on houzz.com back then doing much research for the absolute best reproduction I could find that was virtually indistinguishable from the original.

I’m happy to say that the chair has held up incredibly well with no visible wear or hardware issues beyond tightening one of the screws in the base and adjusting the feet levelers. My son and daughter routinely walk up behind me while I’m sitting in the chair and lean on the back of it causing lots of flex. I’m always concerned that it’s stretching the chair to its limits, but this has not fazed the chair at all. It springs back as it should.

So I continue to be impressed with the construction and I happy owner of a classic iconic chair that fits our modern home like a glove.

The bottom line, at least for me, is that the chair represents the absolute best quality reproduction currently available that is a near EXACT replica to the original design in both appearance and comfort.

So, if you are purchasing an Ultra Premium model chair from UF, what you are getting is actually the top of the line chair produced by Jerry Chang’s YADEA manufacturing plant in Schenzen China. It is the closest thing to a modern day Eames you can buy outside of the Herman Miller or DWR showrooms.
