As first spotted by Brad Gibson at, Apple has finally rolled out its live sports feature on the Apple TV. The new Sports section is appears as a tab on the Apple’s TV app. ESPN and the NBA are the first programs to appear with others expected to follow.

According to the report, an alert option of when games are about to begin as well as an on/off toggle to show in-progress sports scores is configurable in the TV app section of the settings app.

You may recall that back in September, Apple’s Eddy Cue teased the introduction of the live sports section of the TV App:

“If you’re a huge sports fan like I am, you’re really gonna love this feature. Sports in the TV app is a real game changer for sports fans.” Eddy Cue – Apple VP

Beta testers who are running iOS 11.2 or tvOS 11.2 should be able to access the new Sports portion of the TV app starting today.
